When the government announced over seventies were “vulnerable” (I’ve never felt so insulted,) I thought of starting to dye my hair again then I could get away with telling people I am 50 rather than 60 which I easily get away with now. But then my hairdresser and my daughter were put on lockdown and my daughter — in law is in isolation because of her asthma and I just don’t trust myself.

My late wife was a big fan of Victoria Wood as was I. Now I miss them both.

I see you are tagged as purbeck poet, have you by any chance heard of Sara Russell, she is a poet who’s been published and whose magazine I have contributed to. Sara lives in Sussex but I recall her parents lived in Purbeck and she spend a lot of time down there.
