Sorry but I don’t quite understand why the headline singles out men, many men manage their diets very well and are not as easily influenced by fad diets and the advice of food fascists as women. One thing the pandemic should have taught us all (apart from how easy it is to plunge a significant proportion of the population into a state of abject fear by using a few scary headlines and fake statistics,) is that we should all take responsibility for looking after our immune system and it will take care of most threats for us.
Even though not trumpeted by mainstream media it is quite obvious to most of us that COVID — 19 is a relatively mild infection in people who are not afflicted by the frailties of old age and do not have underlying health problems.
More recently analysis of statistics by researchers in India has shown men are slightly more susceptible to COVID — 19 than women, but that does not alter the fact that the proportion of those infected to those who develop symptoms serious enough to need treatment, and the proportion of deaths to infections are both significantly lower than found in the normal winter outbreaks of ‘flu.
Politicians can blether about testing, social distancing and developing vaccines, but the way we will beat this infection is by ignoring the scare stories spread by Big Pharma in the hope of increasing profits, by politicians in the hope of tightening their hold on power and of activists trying to advance their agenda and looking calmly at facts after the narrative has been stripped of hype.
