Sometime last year (or maybe the year before) a robotics company attached to Oxford University here in Britain staged a mock up of a Mars landing in an aircraft hanger. The purpose was to show off how Mars would look to the first humans to land there. A bunch of guys trundled around in a Mars Rover crossing sand that had been dyed read and passing red rocks. Above and behind them was a blackness that could have been infinite.
It looked every bit as real as footage of the Moon landings. Hmmm, I wouln’t go paying any deposits to that con man Musk just yet guys. Remember, those vacations in outer space he is selling will not take you to space, in fact they don’t even reach the outermost layer of the atmosphere.

Opted for comfortable retirement before I was fifty due to health problems and burn out. Now spend my time writing and goofing around. Home: northern England..
