One of the problems the LGBT rights lobby and their liberal supporters have created I think, is that they present certain sexual preferences as something we should all celebrate. But in their drive for equal rights and inclusiveness they seem to have forgotten some people.
“This is Fred, he can’t get it up unless he’s dressed as Batman.”
“This is Arthur, he’s in a committed relationship with his own hand.”
“This is Joe, he likes to rub himself off against the cat.” (I did once read someone’s confession to that proclivity on some web forum or other.)
And so on, human creativity being almost infinite. I have been married to the same woman for forty three years but never quite managed to get my head round that bit in the church wedding script about “forsaking all others.” Some people will be disgusted — OK that’s up to them, I don’t care. Others may say, “Woo hoo, what a lad,” although I’m not looking for approval. The case is though that it is between me and my wife (and in the past my occasional lovers).
We are not emotionally repressed if we prefer to keep such things to ourselves, just as we are not homophobic if we are indifferent to sexual orientations.
