OK, I’m not in the USA so that puts me a long way from the action, but I seriously doubt if those are “hot topics” for the right and alt_right. More likely the algorithm has learned they’re the topics a small number of rightist nutters post provocative comments on, thus prompting many responses from left wing commenters. All of those comments help make the main url more visible.

Forget Alphabet’s liberal posturing, they are totally cynical in everything they do. They’re playing you.

Do you really report people who speak against causes you support? I’m not sure Bill Hicks would approve of that. He was a great believer in free speech.
