Intersting article Lux, though the issue has not affected me so far. (I don’t use Twitter and am shadow banned on Facebook for anti — war and anti globalist opinions among other things,) However its possible i may want to put online fiction with a strong sexual content sometime.
A platform I use which claims to support freedom by only imposing minimal restrictions, (and what I see there largely bears out that claim, though I guess supporters of extremist views and criminal activity would not agree,) is Minds.com
Now I’m not saying it’s great of itself, personally I think the site design and navigation is lousy, but they offer a platform for groups that can then organise themselves and provide members with links to pages that are not readily visible to the self appointed online censors.
Could be a suitable platform for people having the kind of problems the article describes
