I’m of the opinion, after studying the methods of “climate scientists” or Warmageddonists as I call them, that they’re just a bunch of con men. Now I’ve dug quite deeply into this, but anyone who lacks the time or inclination to dig deeply need only be aware of two words to know the whole thing is a huge confidence trick. “Adjusted Data”.

WTF does adjusted data have to do with science. It’s like those economic figures that tel us the economy shrank by two percent but after adjustments to the data it grew by one per cent.

The reason most people are (wisely) not going to get their knickers in a twist over this lastest scare tactic? Snow will be a thing of the past by 2010. Arctic sea ice will have disappeared by 2011. There will be 50 million refugees displaced by rising sea levels before 2012. Polar Bears will be extinct by 2015.

We’re waiting for any of these to actually happen. Meanwhile a couple of weeks ago “scientists” predicted that as a result of changing weather patterns we in Britain would bask in Mediterranean temperatures until the end of November. Well I basked in Mediterranean temperatures until 3 October. Then I came back from the Mediterranean. And daytime temperatures have consistenly been below the average for this time of year.

Ah but that’s weather isn’t it. It’s only climate if you use “adjusted data.”
