I support your right to do what you like with your hair Aysia, people have no right to interpret it as a statement of anything other than how you want to look.
In the current political climate people are far to fond of interpreting our actions for us. Earlier this I year I grew my hair longer than at any time in the past 30 years. "You're trying to look younger," I was told, or "your politics have shifted left."
Neither, it was because hirdressers were locked down and I didn't fancy letting an amateur loose around my head with scissors.
Around the same time I did consider dyeing my hair black, it would have been reasonable to accuse me of trying to look younger if I had, but the reason for wanting to look younger was the UK government were considering ordering all over 70s to stay indoors for three months. And I didn't fancy doing that.
So often our real reasons for what we do are totally different to the reasons people assume.
