I confidently predict that within five years all AI algorithms will produce results that concur with the prejudices of the person who wrote the software.
The proponents of AI are really getting into science fantasy now. There can be no such thing as artificial intelligence (that is comparable to human intelligence until we can define what drives human intelligence. And the best neurologists will admit they have no idea but it is a lot more complex than parsing vast quantities of data and filtering out certain records by means of keyword matches. Unfortunately matching information is as far as computers have progressed so far, they can match words and if programmed correctly produce lists of synonyms, antonyms, related words and a comprehensive definition. But the computer has no means of understanding what any of it means.
It is a fallacy however to think that gay men will have softer, more effeminate features, there’s a British Rugby Football player (Rugby is like American football but without the body armour and group hugs,) who ‘came out’ a few years ago, he’s about six feet three, rather battered around the face as Rugby players tend to be, square jawed, very muscular and has a deep voice. A friend of mine is around five nine, softly spoken, was a pretty boy when younger and has quite feminine mannerisms — and a lovely wife.
All AI could possibly hope to do is analyze photos of gay and straight people and calculate averages for each. All people are different of course, which is something algorithms cannot accommodate.
