Good points Dr. Cat, particularly theone on anchor babies. Does this, I wonder, lead to a problem similar to one we have in Britain, chain immigration? Once someone is in the system, whether they came as legal entrants, refugees or asylum seekers (a term that has lost all meaning,) once here they can sponsor members of their extended family. And obviously once they are here and in the system they can sponsor their extended families.
So the entire world is only what, Six degrees of separation maybe, from having the right to come and live in Britain, claim social welfare benefits and demand exemption from local laws ‘because multiculturalism.
