Absolutely right Nicol, King Arthur and his Kinights of the Round Table are fairy stories (the Hollywood versions especially.)
Real Knights were trained from an early age to kill, and to die, in the service of their leige lord, not to go swanning off rescuing damsels in distress or searching for The Holy Grail.
In fact with kidnap and ransom being the second largest indsustry after pillage and plunder in that era, there was little time available for chivalry.
Not that many of them would have been interested in chivalry, being trained killers who were accustomed to lives of brutality.
