A report in the UK’s Daily Telegraph today tells us that Papadopoulos actually had links to a British academic who in turn had some dealings with Russian businesses. This hardly constitutes evidence of malfeasance on the part of the Trump campaign. Likewise the story reports that the charges against Manafort relate to money laundering and tax evasion. Which again does not provide any grounds to suspect this member of the Trump campaign team collaborated with the government of Russia to influence the outcome of the election.
The whole thing turned into a farce long ago, now it seems to be descending to the level of a bunch of inept circus clowns. With luck we should be able to cast Hillary as Pennywise before too long.
