A refreshing point of view Sam. I think you are taking a similar approach to the one I’ve always had, that life is a work in progress and from everything we do we gain experience, even if we do not enjoy doing it much.
When the job we do in order to eat, keep a roof over our heads and enjoy some on the benefits of civilisation is difficult and stressful, apart from the satisfaction of overcoming the challenges teaches us a lot, if we get fired and have to start again there may be financial difficulties but at the same time it opens new directions and new experiences that will broaden our lives.
Relationships teach us more about relationships, and if we are willing to learn, more about ourselves than any psychology text book can.

Everything we do contains a lesson, but it contains benefits as well, even if we don’t quite understand what those bbenefits are at the time.
