“5 Things to Do When You Have Too Many Ideas and Never Finish Anything”

You’ve met my son then :-) He’s a musician, an artist, an antiques dealer, a furniture restorer and possible a couple of other things I’ve forgotten. And because he can’t settle to any of them as his main vocation, he has to have a day job. He also tries at various times to take over our garage, shed and spare room because he house he and his girlfriend have is quite small — but I will not get myself started on that one.
It’s quite true of course that the more options we have the less likely we are to settle on one. A while ago someone had an article in one of the popular British newspapers comparing using the internet as a source of information to trying to drink from a fire hose. The sheer volume of information coming at us is overwhelming and in the end we forget what we were looking for.
Perhaps the epitaph for our civilisation will be, “They had too much of everything.”

Opted for comfortable retirement before I was fifty due to health problems and burn out. Now spend my time writing and goofing around. Home: northern England..
